Assiniboine (Nakóda): Counting Book 11-20

   TeePee on grassy plain.

“Learning numbers becomes a celebration of culture, language, and identity.”

In Assiniboine (Nakóda): Counting Book 11–20, author Vicki Bisbee, known by her Nakóda name Shunk Togaja Wiya (Gray Wolf Woman), continues her inspiring mission to preserve and revitalize the Assiniboine language. A proud member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe in Northeastern Montana, Bisbee brings her heritage to life through a beautifully structured counting book that teaches not only numbers, but cultural pride and connection to language.

This continuation of her earlier counting series helps readers—young and old—learn to count from eleven to twenty in Nakóda. Each page pairs numerals and English translations with phonetic spellings and authentic pronunciations, creating an engaging experience for both native speakers and learners alike.

Beyond the numbers, Bisbee’s work embodies the ongoing efforts on the Fort Peck Reservation to reclaim and strengthen the Assiniboine tongue, supported by Fort Peck Community College and linguists dedicated to preserving the language’s beauty and rhythm. Her introduction reminds readers that the Nakóda language is living proof of resilience—a language that has endured, evolved, and continues to be spoken with pride.

“A beautifully crafted cultural counting journey, Assiniboine (Nakóda): Counting Book 11–20 celebrates language, heritage, and the timeless spirit of the Fort Peck Assiniboine people.” – MainSpring Book

Written with care and authenticity, this book stands as a bridge between generations—a resource, a teaching tool, and a cultural treasure.

Because every word spoken in Nakóda keeps the heartbeat of a people alive—and every number counted brings them closer together.

The New PSYCHOLOGY: A Unified Field of Brain, Mind, Behavior, Perception, Culture...: Abbreviated Edition (B&W)

The New PSYCHOLOGY: A Unified Field of Brain, Mind, Behavior, Perception, Culture...: Abbreviated Edition (B&W)      480 Pages, 8.5X11”, Fully Illustrated These are the bits and pieces that make up a deep understanding of how our mind works. Welcome to the deep woods.     Psychology controls the biology of our brain. At the witch trials in Salem, when the accused were brought into the court, adrenaline and cortisol would have shot into the bloodstream of the spectators. Neurotransmitters would have surged through their brain. Their very brain waves would have shot up from 12 to 40 cycles per second. A P300 brain wave would have screamed “ALERT”. Their heart jumped.  A chill went up their spine. The girls began to shriek “Witch, Witch!”     We know this because the same thing happens in America today among those watching a Hollywood horror movie about witches, zombies, demons, murder and more. In varying degrees thi...

The Revenant's Mark

The Revenant's Mark A dark historical fantasy novel set during the American Revolution Jacob Hawthorne was hanged as a traitor—forgotten by the cause he fought for, buried in a shallow grave by those he fought against. But death didn’t keep him. The forest brought him back. Now bound to an ancient and wild power, Jacob walks again as a revenant—something more than man, less than myth. Haunted by visions and a mysterious mark burned beneath his ribs, he joins two rebel soldiers on a perilous journey through war-torn colonies and spirit-haunted woods. As the Revolutionary War rages, a secret faction known as the Golden Circle seeks to harness the power of the forest spirits for their own ends—twisting the old magicks into a weapon neither crown nor colony can stop. Jacob must reckon with what he’s become, what he was brought back to do, and whether the soul of a dead man can still choose the right side. Epic in scope and grounded in grit,  The Revenant’s Mark  blends dark...

Proof of the Existence of God: Confronting Science

Proof of the Existence of God: Confronting Science WHEN FAITH CONFRONTS SCIENCE Dare to question, but be ready to believe. “Does God Exist?” This is an age-old debate. Interestingly, those who say “No” often cite science as the basis for their opinion. They openly state that “There is no proof of the existence of God.” However, there is proof of the existence of God. There is more than ample proof of His existence. There is more evidence than anyone will ever need if one was willing to look in the right places, if one was open to that proof, and if one does not block or eliminate the proof or otherwise redefine or pre-determine the scientific criteria despite the evidence. Carl Sagan once wrote, “Extraordinary claims, require extraordinary evidence.”  This book presents Ten Observable, Demonstrable, and Verifiable sets of facts that prove the existence of God. Not one, not two, but ten. Any one set of these proofs by itself would demonstrate it, but together they provide ove...
