Secrets to Healthy Cooking: Cook a Healthy & Delicious Meal with 5 Ingredients in under 20 Minutes

Perfect for everyone – vegetarians, carnivores, vegans – Esther provides ingredient substitutions to suit everyone’s diet.
With minimal ingredients, Esther Yang’s completely delicious recipes are ideal for quick meals. Esther combines readily available and foreign ingredients in uncomplicated ways so everyone can make delicious meals and never have an excuse to order take out. She wants her readers to be healthier and become their own recipe developers and take chances with their meals.
Esther Yang is a mom, a huge foodie, "New Yorker of the Week" by NY1 for my work with children, and the creator of bully-free zones in public schools. She is a health and wellness advocate and educator, and teach yoga, karate, and meditation in schools and colleges. She is the author of "Love Yourself, the Heck with Everyone Else" and guest speaker on Mind Body Medicine at Cornell Medical School. For 20 years, she has also served as a community organizer and advocate.
Esther is the Founder and Executive Director of Super Happy Healthy Kids (SHHK) and AAPI for Change. SHHK (www.SuperHappyHealthyKids.com) is a New York City after-school program established in 2014 with the mission of stamp out meanness and bullying. AAPI for Change (www.aapiforchange.org) was established in 2020 after the horrific Anti-Asian violence. The mission of AAPI for Change is to educate the public, raise awareness, and change systemic race issues and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
The cookbook is organized by days from one to 50 with two bonus days, Secrets to Healthy Cooking follows Esther during the lockdown of the Pandemic. Everyone was stuck at home and bored. Usually, busy with her after-school program; teaching students; talking with their parents, teachers and principals; and raising money for scholarships, Esther found herself stuck at home and her students’ parents were working while having to take care of their children.

They messaged her, “Esther, please help! We don’t know what to make for breakfast, lunch and dinner for our kids and ourselves. We’re bored with our usual meals. Please help!”
So she put on her recipe developer hat and created recipes using “5 ingredients in under 20 minutes”. She shared these recipes with friends and family on Facebook not only so they could make it themselves but also to keep up their morale.
