The book chronicles 15 people's emotional journeys with cancer (either as patient, caregiver, professional, survivor, loved one, etc.) and frames those journeys in light of the participants varied traumas encountered in life. The book sheds light on the true depths behind the idea that we never know what people are going through, or have gone through.
